Avoid words on labels that are unpronounceable or unfamiliar
Look for items that do not contain large lists of ingredients. The longer the ingredient list, generally, but not always, the more processed the food. Always search for foods with the fewest ingredients. These foods are less likely to contain artificial colors, artificial flavorings, and preservatives.
It should be noted that most of the ingredients on the example above are hard to pronounce. These types of foods like products should generally be avoided. While a few of the ingredients may be pronounceable that does not mean the product warrants purchasing.
