Broccoli Example:

Start by finding the serving size on the package. A one-cup serving of broccoli is equal to 85g.

Then find the number of Calories per serving 33

453 (grams in 1lb) / 85 (grams per serving) = 5.3 (servings per pound) x 33 (calories per serving) = 174 (calories per pound) of broccoli.

Red Potato example:

Start by determining the serving size on the package. Red Potato Serving size = 148g

Then find the number of Calories per serving = 110 calories

453 (grams in 1lb) /148 (grams per serving) = 3.06 (servings per pound) X 110 (calories per serving) = 336 (calories per pound) of potatoes.
